Alexandre Gauthier and Julien Sebbag inaugurate Ruinart’s ephemeral restaurant
It was in a former workshop in the 7th arrondissement of Paris that the House of Ruinart invited its guests to a new remarkable experience. As part of its Food for Art programme, the oldest champagne house has just opened the doors of its Restaurant Singulier, an “ephemeral cabinet of culinary curiosities” which will unveil a high-flying programme from 16 to 31 October…
An exceptional place, Maison 1729 allows the meeting between champagne and gastronomy, and creates a dialogue with the works created by the British artist David Shrigley on the occasion of his carte blanche conducted during the year 2020 for Ruinart. The restaurant, which will also host various workshops and cooking classes, will invite exceptional chefs Alexandre Gauthier, Antonin Bonnet, Alessandra Montagne, Cathy Paraschiv, Julien Sebbag, Céline Pham and Valentine Davase. All of them will follow one another to offer gastronomy lovers a limited series of dinners and lunches inspired by Ruinart’s vintages. Before its official opening on October 16, two-starred chef Alexandre Gauthier inaugurated Maison 1729 during a private dinner in the presence of Frédéric Dufour, president of Ruinart, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, Victoria Wilmotte, Yvon Lambert, Jennifer Flay and Paul-Emmanuel Reiffers. A choice appetizer before the official opening the next day, this time orchestrated by chef Julien Sebbag.
