Gigi and Bella Hadid set Ludovic de Saint Sernin’s fall-winter 2022-2023 show on fire

Thursday, March 3rd: in a gigantic underground car park, Ludovic de Saint Sernin displays his new collection that melts the label’s classics with a pleasant touch of comfort and mellowness.

Gigi Hadid makes her entrance wearing a large chocolate brown dress with a matching pair of suede boots. The fashion designer himself embodies his new collection as he wears his own creations on the catwalk for the first time ever. The new collection is plain, warmer, and larger than usual. Playing on a neutral color palette of gray, khaki and greige shades, it unveils long coats made of wool and cashmere, straight skirts, tunic-style corduroy knitted sweaters, warm scarves, and long-sleeved dresses. A wardrobe that contrasts with the sexy and lighter pieces the French designer is known for since 2017. However, his signature pieces are still featured in this collection, from the Swarovski embroidered knitted tops and lace zipper pants to the blue python printed leather mini-dress.

As is often the case with Ludovic de Saint Sernin, fabrics glide on the skin with a certain flow – silk shirts and pants gently reveal bodies. The early 2000s fashion influence claimed by Ludovic de Saint Sernin establishes itself in his silk crepe wrap-over crop tops, his belts with large silver buckles, and his pants covered with variations of the label’s monogram, whose letters “LDSS” take the shape of a heart. Finally, Bella Hadid emerges in a long transparent black flowing gown to close the show with extraordinary sensuality.
