5 collaborations and accessories spotted at the Balenciaga show in Los Angeles

On Saturday 2nd of December 2023, Balenciaga celebrated Californian fashion and archetypes for its first fashion show under the bright sunlight of the City of Angels. Alongside activewear, sportswear outfits and couture silhouettes designed for celebrities by Demna, the French fashion house’s creative director, 5 exclusive collaborations and brandnew accessories are already available for purchase or pre-order.

The Balenciaga x Erewhon collaboration

For its first ever fashion show in Los Angeles, Balenciaga unveiled a collection made in collaboration with Erewhon, a pioneering yet controversial health food store, as revealed in an article by the New York Magazine. The pieces in the Balenciaga x Erewhon collaboration range from T-shirts and zip-up hoodies to embroidered baseball caps in black or ecru, adorned with the Erewhon logo, which Californians consider as a trademark of the L.A. area, highlighted by its creation date (1968), a classic Balenciaga logo, and the letters “Los Angeles”. One can also find a selection of exclusive co-created items, such as an apron inspired by those worn by Erewhon shop employees, as well as a foldable and reusable nylon tote bag. In addition to that, an exclusive juice, a speciality of Erewhon, has been developed and packaged in a co-branded bottle.

The Balenciaga Fall 2024 Cagole Tote XL bag

Designed as a tribute to the City, one of Balenciaga’s most iconic it-bags launched in 2001, the Cagole Tote XL bag makes a statement with its oversized format, ideal to carry day-to-night essentials. Made from Arena lambskin, it is available in black, optical white, lilac, mimosa, pink, green, screen blue, and ash blue. Each color is embellished with antique silver studs and buckles. The bag also has a removable shoulder strap. A second version of the Cagole Tote XL with an inner nylon tote attached will be available later this season.

The Cagole Tote XL bag is available in a limited edition of 200 pieces exclusively at the Balenciaga women’s store on Rodeo Drive.

The Balenciaga Fall 2024 10XL sneaker

Available for pre-order in limited edition, Balenciaga’s new 10XL sneaker extends Demna’s maximalist vision of trainers with an oversized design. Despite its XX sole, the 10XL is lightweight. It features a B logo on each side and is available in yellow/white/blue or blue/grey/black for both men and women.

The Balenciaga x Jacob & Co. collaboration

Jacob & Co., the fine jewelry and watchmaking house adored by fashion labels and designers – Virgil Abloh, Supreme, Pharrell Williams – has created a series of pieces for Balenciaga available in limited edition. Entitled “Diamant”, the exclusive Balenciaga x Jacob & Co jewelry line offers four pieces made of 18-carat white gold and diamonds: a large, thick necklace with a link bracelet, as well as a thin necklace with an oversized two-finger ring reading the name “Balenciaga”. Founded by Jacob Arabo in 1986 in New York, Jacob & Co. is undoubtedly one of the most disruptive jewelers in the industry. Its innovative approach is precisely what appealed to Demna for the French fashion house’s first high jewelry collection.

The Balenciaga x Jacob & Co. high jewelry line is exclusively available as a preview at the women’s store on Rodeo Drive. Each piece is made upon request and delivered within three months.

The Balenciaga No Logo collection

Among the new items presented at the Balenciaga Fall 2024 show in Los Angeles was the Balenciaga No Logo collection. It includes a variety of hoodies, long-sleeved T-shirts, sweatpants, and baseball caps in slightly oversized and structured cuts, with damaged edges and a wash-out effect, while the “No Logo” letters appear in a tiny font inspired by Old English.

The Balenciaga No Logo collection is available on balenciaga.com and in selected Balenciaga stores worldwide.
