El Silencio Ibiza: a restaurant and sunset bar in a idyllic cove

Nestled in a idyllic cove in Ibiza, El Silencio opens Urusai, a second restaurant blending local and Japanese cuisine, and inaugurates its brand-new Sunset Bar this season.

  • El Silencio: two restaurants on the beach in Ibiza

Far from the frantic atmosphere of the island’s monumental nightclubs, El Silencio feels like a sanctuary. Inaugurated in 2021, the beach house of the iconic Parisian club – now home to two restaurants – has become one of the Balearic island’s must-see places.

It is not surprising for Le Silencio, knowing that it has already won Saint-Germain-des-Prés’ heart with its cinema-restaurant in 2021. Then, it was New York with its club designed by Harry Nuriev in 2023. And the Cannes Film Festival with its parties.

In soothing beige and white tones, the decor melts into the wild landscape of Cala Molí cove. Guests come here for lunch, their feet in the sand with a sea view, or for dinner to enjoy a breathtaking sunset. In between, they lounge on beach beds or by the pool.

El Silencio initially entrusted its kitchen to Jean Imbert since 2022. Today, Mauro Colagreco is the one who delights its guests. Frequently cited among the best chefs in the world, the Argentian at the head of his restaurant Mirazur in Menton is part of the exclusive club of chefs with three Michelin stars.

It is now a must-see location in Ibiza. El Silencio kicks off its 2025 season in style with the opening of a Sunset Bar inside its standout restaurant, Urusai.

Urusai: an izakaya and a sunset bar in a idyllic cove

For its Ibiza venue, inaugurated in 2024, El Silencio called on one of the most sought-after duos in the Parisian culinary scene: Arthur Cohen and Olivier Léon. In just four years, the entrepreneur and the artistic director have opened three venues blendling hip ambiance with refined cuisine. First, the ultra cool izakaya Onii-San in the Marais. Followed by the exquisite Japanese restaurant Ojii in the 7th arrondissement. And finally, the historic brasserie Cloche in Les Halles district in 2023.

True to their creative vision, Arthur Cohen and Olivier Léon imagined Urusai as a seaside izakaya. The decor is brutalist and the menu is sophisticated. Diners offer the perfect fusion of local ingredients and Japanese influences for a special evening. A gustatory blend that takes shape as red prawn carpaccio with shiso oil, dashi and bisque caramel, o-toro temari sushi, or sea urchin soba with shiitake cream.

A new Sunset bar for music lovers

For the new 2025 season, Urusai also unveils a brand-new venue: the Sunset Bar. As the island’s first audiophile bar, the space is already shaping up to be ideal for music enthusiasts. It is perfect for those in search of an intimate and immersive experience far from the usual summer crowds.

On the menu, a vinyl selection curated by DJ Jaime Fiorito, extracted from the island’s most prized private collections (Diego Calvo, José Padilla…). But also live DJ sets that replace sunny afternoons sipping drinks at nightfall. The whole crafted in collaboration with the iconic Collagen Café in Paris. Your superfood latte will give way to a lychee martini or a wasabi margarita, all set to an exquisite, intoxicating musical lineup.
