Which player is the new ambassador for TAG Heuer watches?
For the launch of its new collection of watches, the Carrera Three Hands, the watchmaker TAG Heuer unveils its brand new ambassador, and not the least, since it is the recognized actor of all Ryan Gosling.
In fifteen years, Ryan Gosling has made a place for himself among the most acclaimed actors in Hollywood. The Canadiens have distinguished themselves many times with American directors (Nick Cassavetes) and European filmmakers (Nicolas Winding Refn), and has performed multiple roles as different as each other, ranging from independent cinema (Danny Balint) to big-budget films (The Marches of Power), science fiction (Blade Runner 2049), biopic (First Man) and musicals (La La Land, for which he was nominated for an Oscar and won the Golden Globes for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy in 2017). Even though the characters he plays are all very different, the actor always wants to challenge himself and push the boundaries of what is possible in his films.
TAG Heuer could not have chosen a better ambassador than Ryan Gosling himself to embody its next watchmaking creations. “We are delighted to introduce Ryan Gosling as a TAG Heuer Global Ambassador for his first-ever collaboration with a brand. A star since his beginnings, he has become an icon that is both enigmatic and impenetrable. He is a true artist who chooses his projects with the greatest care and dedicates himself to them like no one else.” said Frédéric Arnault, CEO of TAG Heuer, commenting on the announcement. Ryan Gosling also spoke about his new role: “TAG Heuer remains in a discreet and consistent way a classic and emblematic pillar of excellence in its field. Partnering with them was an obvious decision. Also, the passage of time is a topic I think about often. My kids are growing up fast, so I’ve never kept an eye on the clock so much.”
Speaking of watches, the Swiss watchmaker is unveiling a brand new collection of thirteen creations. Entitled the Carrera Three Hands, these new timepieces revisit the sleek and timeless design of TAG Heuer’s iconic Carrera watch, launched in 1963 for drivers who need to know the time easily, in a sporty and elegant style. This time, the collection is available in four versions: the Carrera Day Date 41mm, the Carrera Twin-Time Date 41mm, the Carrera Date 39mm and the Carrera Date 29mm. Each of the thirteen models sports a stainless steel case, and twelve of them are mounted on a steel bracelet while only one watch has a leather strap. As for the dials, they are available in black, blue, white or silver, and all feature the new Carrera logo by TAG Heuer.
