Emotions were palpable at the Bottega Veneta Spring-Summer 2017 runway show

The anniversary show celebrating 50 years of Bottega Veneta and 15 years of Tomas Maier’s artistic direction was one of the highlights of Milan Fashion Week with the inimitable Lauren Hutton walking the catwalk alongside Gigi Hadid.

It was one of the unmissable events at Milan Fashion Week. On September 24th Bottega Veneta showed its men’s and women’s collections together for the first time at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts. It was a sheer delight to behold the house vocabulary in all its elegance based on fine materials, functional luxury and the fluidity that have made the Venetian house’s reputation.

Several generations of top models came together for the occasion as they strode through the aisles of the Brera Academy: Karen Elson, Bella Hadid, Eva Herzigova Adriana Lima, Guinevere Van Seenus, Edie Campbell and Aymeline Valade. The appearance of Lauren Hutten and particularly her passage with Gigi Hadid provoked a veritable wave of emotion through the audience. The actress, who helped make the iconic woven leather clutch bag famous when she sported it the movie American Gigolo alongside Richard Gere, was looking more beautiful and elegant than ever. A fabulous way for Bottega Veneta to build bridges between a legendary past and a future that's set to be radiant.

Fashion Week : the 8 unmissable videos of the first fully digitalised season

Fashion Week On July 17th, Milan Fashion Week drew to a close, following two weeks of presentations of men’s ready-to-wear, preceded by the haute couture. Outside its normal dates, this new season came with a completely new feature thanks to the pandemic: shows that were fully digitalised, revealed by the labels and the houses on dedicated websites, resulting in a selection of rather extraordinary videos. We take a look at the eight videos that really made an impression on this historic event.
