Which trends made a comeback at the Prada Menswear show?
From Harris Dickinson to Louis Partridge and Troye Sivan, influential male figures in fashion gathered inside the walls of the Prada Foundation in Milan for the house’s Fall/Winter 2025-2026 menswear show.
Raf Simons’ influences set the tone for the Prada menswear show
While the colour palette of the Prada Fall/Winter 2025-2026 men’s show remained sober, it seems that Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons have put all their creativity in the layering of fabrics and patterns to give life to their new collection.
At first, it was simply applied to a pink and blue checked shirt worn under a yellow and brown tartan coat, then through increasingly assertive looks, such as the silhouette displaying satin, purple trousers coupled with a black and grey jumper and a checked trench coat.
A clash of colours and aesthetics that plays on the notion of bad taste and stems from the big comeback of the indie sleaze aesthetic of the 2000s… Far from the “less is more” motto that have flooded the quiet luxury trend for the past seasons, Prada’s menswear show for the Milan Fashion Week focused on a maximalist style, punctuated by red vinyl down jackets, large fur coats and colourful ankle boots. Raf Simons’ underground influences obviously fueled the whole collection.
A Fall/Winter 2025-2026 collection between slim cuts and tight-fitting tops
The artistic directors of Prada’s menswear collections also charted a brand new course for the men’s wardrobe one silhouette after the other. Aside from the oversized cuts and high waists presented on the catwalks for several seasons now, the Italian fashion house emphasized low-waisted, skinny jeans and canva pants worn with long, tight-fitting T-shirts.
Y2K trends have once again influenced this aesthetic – one that echoes Timothée Chalamet’s looks, recently spotted touring Europe to promote the film A Perfect Stranger.
