Egonlab x Desigual, a desirable and sensual collaboration

After a summer collection with Lisi Herrebrugh and Rushemy Botter, founders of Botter, the Spanish label Desigual – currently undergoing a full transformation – has unveiled a new capsule. This collection was developed in collaboration with an unexpected duo: Egonlab. Founded in 2019 by French designers Florentin Glémarec and Kévin Nompeix, the Paris-based brand known for its sharp masculine tailoring is now presenting an entirely women’s collection for the very first time.

Featuring 28 pieces, the capsule echoes Desigual’s Y2K heritage with raw denim, vintage leather, and colourful prints, all infused with the sun-soaked spirit of Catalan streets.

Our top picks? A thick knit zip-up hoodie and a red wool top with frayed shearling-style edges – THE must-have piece of the winter. Following their stunning Spring/Summer 2026 runway show last June, this Egonlab x Desigual collection reveals one thing… Nothing is going to slow down the duo’s meteoric rise. Interview.

Numéro: Can you tell us how the collaboration with Desigual came about?

Florentin Glémarec and Kévin Nompeix (Egonlab): It was simply an encounter with the Desigual team. What immediately appealed to us was the idea of a dialogue between two distinct, yet complementary identities. Blending our respective DNAs was a complex and fascinating exercise. We had to create a conversation between the radiant spirit of their brand and our own approach to design, which is more structured, more conceptual.

What does this brand evoke for you?

Kévin Nompeix: For me, Desigual brings to mind my mother. She has always been, and still is, a devoted fan. I remember her long coats adorned with bright, colourful embroidery. In fact, I came across that very same piece in their archives in Barcelona, and it instantly took me back to my childhood. It made me realise just how powerful fashion can be in rekindling our deepest memories. That’s when I fully grasped the significance of what we were creating.

Designs infused with the vibrant energy of Barcelona

If you had to describe the collection in just a few words, which ones would you choose?

Egonlab: Rooted in Spanish tradition, and free, since it is designed for strong, independent women.

What were your sources of inspiration for the collection?

Barcelona, of course. We had the privilege of getting lost in its streets and absorbing the city’s magnetic energy. This capsule is also a tribute to the women who make it live. Sensual women who naturally blend tradition and modernity. Women who move forward with confidence and fully embody freedom.

An exploration of the woman’s wardrobe

This collection focuses on womenswear, while you usually design clothes for men. How did you approach this new creative direction?

Although our fashion universe is conceived as genderless, this capsule marks our very first collection created exclusively for women. With it, we wanted to explore different facets of femininity. We enjoy pushing ourselves creatively and connecting with new audiences. That collaboration with Desigual offered us the perfect playground to experiment and extend our artistic expression. It was also the perfect opportunity to celebrate our love and respect for women.

Which figure or celebrity would you love to see wearing the collection?

Without hesitation, Rosalía. For us, her latest album Lux is a true masterpiece.

Which piece is your favorite one?

We have a soft spot for the oversized knitwear piece. But ultimately, the one that matters most is always the one that allows you to stay true to yourself.
