Gucci and Comme des Garçons design a limited-edition bag

Italian fashion house Gucci and cult Japanese label Comme des Garçons are once again collaborating to create a new bag, combining their two respective worlds, available in a limited edition on Gucci Vault, the new digital and evolving concept store designed by the house’s artistic director Alessandro Michele.

For the third time, Gucci and Comme des Garçons have collaborated to design a new bag that combines the symbols and codes of both houses. If the flamboyant and baroque collections of Alessandro Michele, artistic director of the Italian house since 2015, are apparently very different from the hybrid and unclassifiable creations of Rei Kawakubo at the origin of the Japanese label, they blend perfectly in this new tote imagined as part of this collaboration.

As in previous editions, the black bag features the minimalist design of the Comme des Garçons tote bag revisited with the brand’s signature Gucci stripe. In addition to this pageantry, only the logo of the Japanese label, printed in white, decorates the tote. Made in Japan, this bag will be available in a limited edition only on Gucci Vault, the new digital and evolving concept store imagined by the Italian house’s artistic director Alessandro Michele, which presents restored and customized archival pieces alongside new creations.
