Versace and Fendi reunite for a show that celebrates Italian fashion
After the meeting between Gucci and Balenciaga on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Italian house, Versace and Fendi are joining forces for an exceptional show during which each of the brands offers its own interpretation of the other’s universe. Silvia Venturini Fendi and Donatella Versace, guided by English designer Kim Jones, artistic director of Fendi’s women’s collections and long-time friend of the artistic director of the label with the jellyfish, have played the game of sharing identity and know-how by opening their archives to the other. Thus, Fendi by Versace plays on punk and rock references dear to the Italian Madonna with pieces embellished with safety pins, mini dresses and skirts in ultra-bling chainmail. On the other hand, Versace by Fendi stands out with their creations adorned with the Monogram of the house and the Medusa logo or reversible garments imbued with exquisite craftsmanship.
