The Paul Smith Spring-Summer 2022 Collection

Back in Paris, Paul Smith celebrated his connection to the French capital on Sunday by presenting his new collection at his label’s premises in the heart of the Marais. As a throwback to the first runways in fashion history, the British designer himself introduced twelve pieces from a new solar wardrobe sprinkled with bright colors, oscillating between anise green, orange-red, sky blue, yellow and brown, but also awakened by a printed a recurring sunflower, to the point of inviting itself on the silver cotton canvas of a jacket. Eager to soften its tailoring, Paul Smith offers light wool blazers gathered at the waist and high-waisted loose trousers that draw “boyish” silhouettes, to which the designer wall light discreet sportswear touches through technical and Tight-fitting long-sleeved tops inspired by cycling jerseys – a reminder of the Briton’s passion for cycling. In addition to the Prince of Wales, the stripes, the label’s emblem, are available horizontally, vertically and obliquely and even become multicolored on a resolutely luminous dress and jumpsuit.
