Our favorite looks from the Christopher Esber show
Within the walls of the Australian Embassy in the 15th arrondissement of Paris, Christopher Esber unveiled a spellbinding Spring/Summer 2026 collection, where innovative craftsmanship meets the island inspirations of the Australian designer.

The fish-scale trousers
Each season, Australian designer Christopher Esber brings a touch of insular elegance to Paris Fashion Week. We love his voluptuous silhouettes, reminiscent of past summers, whose colour palette immediately conjures up memories of holidays under the sun.
For instance, the striking pair of deep navy trousers with a modern oversized cut and fish scales entirely hand-crafted. That feat required more than 500 hours of work. A mesmerising ornamentation, both to the eye and touch… The same technique also appears on a delicate sheer look, where ochre and blue scales are finely embroidered on the skirt and top, or even around the waist of a sleek pair of pleated trousers.

Leather total looks, stars of Spring/Summer 2026
In the wake of Saint Laurent’s signature glamour and sophistication, this all-leather ensemble wins us over instantly. We love the sharp, sculptural silhouette crafted entirely from a single material, blending mustard yellow with light brown. The draping and folds that embrace the model’s body echo one of Christopher Esber’s main inspirations for his Spring/Summer 2026 collection… The canvases of American artist John Kacere.
Drawing from these captivating paintings of nude bodies in motion and wrapped in flowing fabrics, the designer created garments whose pleats seem frozen in the fabric itself. Here and there, he reveals or conceal a piece of skin, shaping a structure that almost feels like a canvas.

Chimes and bamboo at the Christopher Esber show
Small chimes are another surprising detail spotted on Christopher Esber‘s runway. They adorned necklines, collars, and the tops of skirts. Handmade and turned from Queensland maple, these bespoke accessories brought texture and depth to the fluid, voluptuous silhouettes of this Spring/Summer 2026 collection.
One can easily picture themselves wearing these looks on the beach at sunset, the breeze rustling the fabric of the trousers and carrying a soft melody with each gentle chime dangling from the bustier…
