This season, Nina Ricci’s two artistic directors have imagined a wardrobe for amphibious humans, as comfortable on land as they are underwater. Between flexibility and precision, the new The pieces stand out for their fluid and plain materials such as knits, satins and chiffons, their marriage of aquatic colors, from navy blue to apple green, including some browns, beiges and abstract prints, but also their many openwork, which cut them by following the lines of the waves. To complete these cleverly fragmented bra tops, jackets and coats, the Dutch duo splits suit collars on skirts, plays with buttons and other modes of assembly and even offers dresses and tops in large fishnet inspired by fishing nets.
