Fashion Week: Highlights from the Spring/Summer 2026 season
After New York, London and Milan, Paris once again becomes the epicentre of style with the Fashion Week running from September 29th to October 7th, 2025. Numéro dissects the key moments that marked this week dedicated to the Spring/Summer 2026 collection, including the runway shows, public events and immersive experiences.

The Spring/Summer 2026 Paris Fashion Week
The Spring/Summer 2026 Fashion Week has finally started in Paris on Monday 29th of September. After kicking off in New York on September 11th, 2025, where Cos, Coach and Diotima presented their collection, it then took to the cobbled streets of London with Burberry and rising designers Aaron Esh, Chopova Lowena and Conner Ives. It eventually wrapped up in Milan with a grand tribute to Giorgio Armani, Demna’s debut show for Gucci and Louise Trotter’s very promising first steps at Bottega Veneta.
Already coined “the Fashion Week of the decade,” this season is shaping up to be memorable. Following a year of major shifts in the creative direction of the leading houses, all eyes are on the debut collections of newly appointed designers, including Pierpaolo Piccioli at Balenciaga and Matthieu Blazy at Chanel. Among shows and presentations, the City of Light is set to unveil the trends and talents that will shape next summer.
And that’s not all! Over the course of nine days, the French capital is also hosting a series of exclusive events – pop-up stores, immersive evenings, public art installations. Day by day, Numéro will be revisiting the highlights of the Spring/Summer 2026 Fashion Week.

Opening of the Virgil Abloh exhibition at the Grand Palais
The first retrospective paying tribute to Virgil Abloh will run until October 9th, 2025, at the Grand Palais. A chance for the public to grasp the creative impact of this multidisciplinary visionary, founder of Off-White and former artistic director of Louis Vuitton menswear collections. His influence on fashion was considerable. The good news? Colette is making a comeback with a pop-up store inside the exhibition. (LZ)

The Keigan Genius Salon with Sophie Dries
Launched by the young Chinese brand Keigan, the Keigan Genius salon invited architect and designer Sophie Dries to showcase her new collection. In a Parisian apartment, the spirit of the great Parisian salons comes alive through an artistic dialogue between Keigan’s ready-to-wear pieces and creations made by contemporary designers. (LZ).

Madonna spotted at the Saint Laurent show
Day 1 of the Paris Fashion Week certainly made a strong impression. As Saint Laurent once again gathered one of the season’s most dazzling front rows, the house welcomed an exceptional guest, Madonna. Alongside her daughter, Lourdes Leon, the American singer nearly stole the spotlight from the other celebrities attending the show, like Charli xcx, Amelia Gray and Renée Zellweger. (LZ)

The wooden dress from the Weinsanto show
When the graceful Coco Rocha stepped onto the catwalk of the Weinsanto Spring/Summer 2026 show, guests were mesmerised by the lace-up mini dress born of a collaboration between Victor Weinsanto, cabinetmaker Amaury Darras, and artist Damien Mouliera. Its singularity? Crafted in part from sculpted and polished wood panels, this unique piece blurs the line between couture and sculpture.
Fashion Week Day 2 – Tuesday 30th of September 2025
Discover the highlights of Tuesday, September 30th, with FKA Twigs attending the Matières Fécales show and actress Helen Mirren’s surprise performance for Stella McCartney‘s runway collection.
FKA Twigs at the Matières Fécales show
On the second day of the Paris Fashion Week, excitement reached its peak on Place Vendôme. Dressed in a black tank top and ripped trousers, the star looked radiant in the front row of this Spring/Summer 2026 show.

Helen Mirren opens the Stella McCartney show
Some elements had already hinted at Cara Delevingne’s arrival, like her T-shirt reading the words Come Together. The title of the Beatles’ 1969 anthem would, just a few minutes later, launch Stella McCartney’s Spring/Summer 2026 show. Recited by Helen Mirren, the lyrics rang out in the silent space of the Centre Pompidou. The large crowd of guests was both moved and surprised to see the actress rise from her front-row seat and walk toward the center of the catwalk… Before handing it over to the traditional procession of models.

Discover the highlights of Wednesday, October 1st, including Jonathan Anderson’s first womenswear show for the house of Dior, Luis De Javier’s live performance, Anrealage’s LED-screen handbags, and Paris Hilton’s appearance at YOYO.

Jonathan Anderson’s debut women’s show for Dior
The fashion world held its breath before designer Jonathan Anderson unveiled his first women’s collection for Dior. Appointed head of all the collections last June, he had already made a promising debut with a remarkably sharp first men’s show. Maintaining his momentum, Jonathan Anderson breathes new life into Monsieur Dior’s creations for the Spring/Summer 2026 season, including bar suits and hats.

A live shooting session of Luis de Javier’s collection
For this Paris Fashion Week, designer Luis de Javier stood out from his peers by a long shot. No show, no presentation, but a YouTube live-streamed broadcast of his lookbook. For a full 24 hours, inside a studio on rue de Turenne, multiple cameras captured the comings and goings of the creative team and the workshops. Little by little, from a distance, his collection emerged, firmly rooted in the Spanish heritage of the designer. Yet another new way of experimenting with fashion and clothing.

Les sacs à écran LED du défilé Anrealage
Presented on Tuesday 30th of September, the Anrealage show quickly took social media by storm. The following day, videos of the handbags revealed during the show captivated online audiences. The reason? They were made from LED screens projecting animated images, such as iPhone-style emojis and trompe-l’oeil fabrics. A playful and innovative idea, perfectly in line with the brand’s DNA.

Paris Hilton’s DJ set at YOYO
On Wednesday, October 1st, the house of Karl Lagerfeld celebrated its muse, the iconic Paris Hilton. Inside the Palais de Tokyo, at YOYO, the star delivered a wild DJ set. Rumors had it that the star was still in the French Capital after she delivered a fiery DJ set at the Palais de Tokyo for a Karl Lagerfeld event on Wednesday, October 2nd. But she had since vanished from the spotlight. That is, until her surprise appearance in the gardens of the Palais-Royal for the Isabel Marant show, which instantly drew a crowd of paparazzi and fans around her.

Discover the highlights of Friday, October 3rd, featuring Anok Yai and Cara Delevingne at the Vêtements show, the debut collection of Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez for Loewe, and performances by dancers Germain Louvet and Alice Catonnet at the Vaillant show.
The tearful finale of the Vêtements Spring/Summer 2026 show
At Vêtements, Guram Gvasalia once again demonstrated his flair for provocation. The brand’s Spring/Summer 2026 show opened with two silhouettes wearing anti-Nazi T-shirts, setting the tone for an unapologetic collection. As the show went on, deconstructed volumes and bold plays on nudity — a front that conceals the body, a back that exposes it — recalled the irreverent DNA of the house, founded in 2013 with his brother Demna, now creative director of Gucci. One of the most striking moments was undoubtedly Cara Delevingne‘s return to the catwalk, after being absent for several seasons. The finale, however, both unsettled and moved the audience. Model Anok Yai, in tears, walked slowly under the spotlight, dressed as a bride…

Meghan Markle on the front row of Pierpaolo Piccioli’s show for Balenciaga
A change of creative director also means change regarding the front row. This season at Balenciaga, where Pierpaolo Piccioli replaces Demna as head of the house’s ateliers, the turnover was striking. While Isabelle Huppert remains a regular, Kim Kardashian has given up her seat to… Meghan Markle. An unexpected, audacious choice that sets the tone for the future.

Glenn Martens unveils his new vision of ready-to-wear at Margiela
After making his debut at Margiela with a haute couture show that paid tribute to the house’s heritage, designer Glenn Martens presented his new vision of ready-to-wear on Day 6 of Paris Fashion Week. Lana Del Rey shines at Valentino
As a close friend of designer Alessandro Michele, who was appointed creative director of Valentino in March 2024, singer Lana Del Rey simply had to attend that Spring/Summer 2026 show. Like a Greek goddess, the star appeared in a lavender gown and lit up the front row with her radiant presence.

Announced as THE event of this Spring/Summer 2026 Fashion Week, Matthieu Blazy’s debut show for the house of Chanel took place on October 6th, 2025. As always, it was staged beneath the glass dome of the Grand Palais. But this time, the collection was set against a backdrop of countless floating planets in a starry night sky. A memorable moment in the history of fashion.

Agnès b. celebrates 50 years of fashion with a moving show
A Pierrot silhouette, Provençal newlyweds, perfectly tailored menswear, our childhood jellies… The models in Agnès b.’s show paraded with a mischievous look. Inside the Collège des Bernardins, the French designer celebrated 50 years of love for fashion and timeless, elegant and understated style. Closing her show arm in arm with dancer Hugo Marchand, Lady Agnès Troublé greeted her friends with great emotion. A graceful bow and a suspended moment amid the whirlwind of Fashion Week.

An alien invasion on Thom Browne’s catwalk
On Monday, October 6th, New York designer Thom Browne took the Hôtel Pozzo di Borgo, the former residence of Karl Lagerfeld, to stage an exceptionally theatrical show. On the runway, among models with flawless poise, some unexpected guests appeared – aliens. In a futuristic, slightly dystopian mise-en-scène, the renowned designer imagined a close encounter of the third kind, blurring the lines between fashion and science fiction.
