The Emporio Armani show wins over a new generation

On Saturday, June 21st, 2025, Emporio Armani unveiled a radiant Spring/Summer 2026 collection inspired by travel and Berber culture at the Milan Fashion Week. Blending nomadic silhouettes and hand-crafted details, this fluid collection also stands out for the unprecedented absence of Giorgio Armani, currently recovering due to health issues.

  • A Spring/Summer 2026 collection inspired by travel

On Saturday, June 21st, Emporio Armani presented its Spring/Summer 2026 collection in a soft, hushed atmosphere during the Milan Men’s Fashion Week. Yet, one detail disrupted the usual rhythm of this annual event – Giorgio Armani, the iconic figure of Italian fashion, was absent.

Recovery at home, the 90-year-old designer couldn’t come to greet the audience. A first in his fifty-year-long career. His loyal right-hand man, Leo Dell’Orco, in charge of the men’s collections, represented him at the end of the show.

Although his absence was noticeable this early summer, the Italian designer has lost none of his brilliance. On the runway, the invitation to travel is explicit. Warm tones, natural fabrics, fluid silhouettes… The spirit of the collection is nomadic, almost bohemian.

Caftans and tunics are available in suede, trousers are wide and gathered at the waist. Jackets and vests are worn directly on the skin. One can also note the ponchos, leather-fringed stoles and handmade woven bags inspired by Berber tents. Every single detail evokes a foreign place, a sun-drenched escape.

Emporio Armani: a house approved by the youth

Modernity is never far however. Some looks from the EA7 line – the sporty offshoot of Emporio Armani – inject some energy into the whole collection with technical t-shirts, cargo pants, and nylon jackets. Several outfits also draw their inspiration from gorpcore and techwear aesthetics, where performance meets style, blurring the line between urban and utility fashion.

The house keeps nurturing its dialogue between classic elegance and contemporary comfort. Over the years, it has become increasingly popular among younger generations, especially on social media and second-hand platforms.

Without overstatement, this show seems to subtly pay tribute to the man nicknamed “King Giorgio”. A way of carrying on his style, without nostalgia or excess, with the discreet, graceful elegance that has always been the hallmark of the house of Emporio Armani
