78 shades of black at the Armani Privé show
Presented in the opulent setting of the Palazzo Armani in Paris, the Armani Privé Fall/Winter 2025-2026 collection explores the infinite variations of black. A haute couture line where texture interplay, precise cuts, and luminous details shape the controlled elegance, true to the house’s DNA.

Black, the leitmotif of the Armani Privé show
Established in January 2025 in a majestic freestone building located on Rue François Ier in Paris, the Palazzo Armani hosted the Armani Privé Fall/Winter 2025-2026 show on July 8th, 2025. For the first time in twenty years, Giorgio Armani did not travel to Paris to present his haute couture collection. Recovering for the past few weeks, the Italian designer chose to stay in Milan…
An absence that didn’t go unnoticed, but was offset by a wardrobe true to his vision, as if he were still here. Draped, embroidered, in satin or velvet… black becomes a canvas for nuance. Introduced by fluid silhouettes punctuated with colourful flashes of blue and emerald green, the collection gradually moves toward a more structured wardrobe. It blends revamped tuxedos, cropped blouses, and blazers worn directly on the skin. Touches of gold, crystal studs, a few feathers, and sheer plastrons add luminous contrast to the whole collection.
A play on balance and contrasts that echoes Emporio Armani’s latest Spring/Summer 2026 show. Presented at the Milan Men’s Fashion Week, the collection featured fluid ponchos, cargo pants, and nylon jackets and explored another side of the Armani style – younger, more nomadic, but just as relevant.

A contemporary, elegant couture collection
As is often the case with Giorgio Armani, the interplay between masculine and feminine infuses the collection. Draped bows, imposing cuff jewellery, fitted trousers, bow ties, and strict jackets are counterbalanced by long dresses. The result is a contemporary, elegant, almost cinematic silhouette in the way it inhabits the walls of this stunning building.
Despite the designer’s absence, the Armani style remains visible through the precise cuts and well-balanced proportions. A quiet luxury that continues to define the strength of the Armani Privé line. Even from afar, it reflects the steady hand of its creator, who will celebrate his 91st birthday this Friday, July 11th. More discreet than ever, yet still highly influential…
