Adèle Exarchopoulos as a lonely bourgeoise for Paco Rabanne

For his new fall-winter 2021 campaign, Paco Rabanne has chosen Adèle Exarchopoulos to embody the collection, which is featured in a short video that looks like a trailer for an intriguing film, in which the French actress would play the lead role.

Last March, Julien Dossena, artistic director of Paco Rabanne, unveiled a Fall-Winter 2021-2022  collectioninspired by the kitsch of the French bourgeoisie. A figure featured today by Adèle Exarchopoulo in a video that now features this almost anachronistic women’s wardrobe.

With the false air of a film trailer, this video, entitled “Time Out”,  and directed by Albert Moya (who has directed campaigns for Louis Vuitton, Acne Studios and Jacquemus, among others), evokes the films of Luis Buñuel or the classics of the New Wave. The French actress (who recently starred in Bac Nord and Mandibles) strolls through a sumptuous estate in the middle of nature. Sublime in ultra-chic Paco Rabanne outfits accessorized with oversized baroque-style jewelry and silver and gold bags from the iconic collection 1969 — all from the house’s Fall-Winter 2021-2022 collection — interpreting several emotions in turn : joy, sadness, anguish or torment.
