Which kind of loafers should you fall in love with?
Having Native Americans’ craftsmanship from the 18th century for legacy, loafers have been a walking the streets for generations. Timeless and comfortable, these shoes don’t merely follow trends… They redefine them. While other footwear choices spark debate, like slippers, loafers remain synonymous with elegance. Proof of their enduring appeal lies in the latest Lyst ranking of the most coveted fashion items, in which Saint Laurent’s Supple loafers and The Row’s Soft design appear.
Loafers of the Fall season

Leather loafers
Evoking the purity and timeless charm of the 1980s, these pristine loafers transport us to 5 bis, rue de Verneuil. Fashion houses Jil Sander and Saint Laurent have updated this classic using soft, ruched leather, while Barbara Borghini, founder and designer of the Italian brand Giaborghini, adds her own touch with a river of leather fringes…

Loafers with nub soles
Long deemed outdated, loafers with nub soles are making a big comeback. Brought back into the spotlight by Tod’s iconic Gommino design, these bubble-soled shoes are now everywhere. While Ralph Lauren gives his loafers an ultra-chic grained leather finish, H&M dares to go bold with a wild, catchy leopard print.

Suede loafers
Whether they come in bright colours at Miista or are crafted from brushed velvet leather at Loewe, these soft textures strike the perfect balance between luxury and simplicity. Mango offers a classic version in dark suede, while Miu Miu continues to celebrate its iconic logo-embossed loafers, a key piece of the Spring/Summer 2024 runway.
