Asghar Farhadi, a leading figure of Iranian cinema
Few details have been released about the plot of Parallel Stories. What is known, however, is that filming is scheduled to start in Paris in the fall of 2025. This feature marks Asghar Farhadi’s grand return to France. The acclaimed Iranian filmmaker previously directed The Past (2013), a drama starring Tahar Rahim and Bérénice Bejo – a role that earned Bejo the Best Actress award at the Cannes Film Festival.
From the Berlinale to the Oscars, Farhadi is a fixture at major international cinema events. In 2011, he won the César, the Golden Globe, and the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film with A Separation. With such a promising cast, Parallel Stories could very well follow the same path.
Asghar Farhadi’s Parallel Stories has no release date yet.
