Four new parisian addresses celebrating the art of perfume

Numéro has selected four new fragrance destinations in Paris that invite us to reimagine perfume as a lifestyle, each offering a unique olfactory experience.

  • by Aude Boissou.

  • Casa Acqua di Parma, the epitome of Italian refinement

Located between Place Vendôme and Palais-Royal, Casa Acqua di Parma is now the new European flagship of the luxury perfume house, instantly recognizable by its signature yellow. Designed by Dorothée Meilichzon, the boutique at 205 rue Saint-Honoré blends Italian warmth and craftsmanship with Parisian modernity and elegance.

We pay tribute to Jean-Michel Frank with a geometric motif engraved in the marmorino walls for a subtle and elegant touch. Arches—a strong symbol of Parisian architecture and Acqua di Parma’s heritage—are seamlessly integrated into the design. We’ve also created unique wooden columns inspired by the iconic bottle, as well as large steles featuring an oversized version of the bottle, which we’ve transformed into parchment lamps,” explains Dorothée Meilichzon.

The boutique is divided into two spaces: the first features a fragrance and candle bar for discovering collections and new arrivals, while a more intimate section offers personalized consultations around bath and body products and the brand’s iconic lines. A standout feature: Parlapiano, a creative space spotlighting Acqua di Parma’s artigianato artistico, giving exposure to emerging artists and designers tied to the house’s heritage.

The store includes a private salon for intimate fragrance consultations and offers high-quality engraving to personalize bottles or leather accessories. A truly bespoke experience.

“I am very pleased to offer my creations a boutique where our clients can take their time discovering the house’s olfactory wardrobe in an exceptional setting.” Francis Kurkdjian

Kilian Paris, a perfume bar in the heart of Le Marais

After launching its first store on rue Cambon in 2014, Kilian Paris has opened its second flagship flagship on rue Vieille-du-Temple in the Marais district. Set in a chic Haussmannian building, this new boutique inspired by Parisian bars combines sophistication and modernity. The décor features noble materials like black oak and Carrara marble, bathed in soft lighting to deliver a multisensory olfactory experience. The showpiece: the Kilian Bar—a majestic marble counter with bronze accents—offers a journey through five olfactory families: Fresh Citruses, Narcotic Flowers, Cellar Woods, Smoky Whirls, and Liquors. A celebration of Parisian art de vivre and a tribute to founder Kilian Hennessy’s legacy.

Essential Parfums: a committed vision of fragrance in Saint-Germain-des-Prés

Founded in 2018 by Géraldine Archambault, Essential Parfums distills the very essence of fragrance by showcasing the creativity and talent of perfumers—Nathalie Lorson, Dominique Ropion, among others—and the excellence of raw materials. With a minimalist and responsible approach, the brand does away with excess packaging, overwhelming marketing, and steep markups to offer “exceptional, responsible fragrances at fair prices.”

This committed vision is now embodied in the reopening of its flagship store in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés. Conceived as an ode to authorial perfumery, the refined setting mixes honeyed wood, cream marble, and green ceramics for an immersive experience: verdant domes highlight natural ingredients, while ceramic blotters reinvent the art of scent sampling. Each fragrance reveals exceptional ingredients—Madagascar vanilla, Haitian vetiver, Sambac jasmine—within an intimate, elegant atmosphere.
