What are the beauty trends of the Fall/Winter season?
Miu Miu, Chanel, Marc Jacobs, Dilara Findikoglu… This season’s makeup trends swing between Kate Moss-inspired indie sleaze glam, bare-faced nude aesthetics, and girly, doll-like features. This Fall/Winter 2025-2026 season will have something for everyone. Here’s a roundup of the best beauty looks seen on the catwalks.
The indie sleaze glam
Widely celebrated by Charli xcx and many other celebrities this year, the indie sleaze trend rooted in the our 2010s idols has also made its way into the world of beauty. Very rock’n’roll and unapologetically uninhibited, this look is perfect for the wildest among us, but also for good girls looking to break their image.

The smoky eye
On the Fall/Winter 2025-2026 runways, the smoky eye was everywhere. At Hodakova and Blumarine, eyes were rimmed in glowy black, while Isabel Marant opted for a lighter version with a subtle, smoky shade on the eyelid. At Coperni, star makeup artist Pat McGrath, author of the porcelain-skin mask seen at Maison Margiela Artisanal 2024 show, created a dark, grunge beauty look for the models. The result is an almost dramatic, shadowy gaze.

The bold rock eyeliner
Feathered at Chanel, ultra-thin at Saint Laurent, thick and graphic at Jil Sander, or delicately applied along the lash line at Miu Miu… Eyeliner has lost none of its allure. It is set to be one of the key elements of your makeup next season. As well as elongating your gaze with a doe-eyed effect, it adds an unmistakable rock, Amy Winehouse-like edge to your look.
The 1990s nude trend
During the Fall/Winter 2025-2026 Fashion Week, labels and fashion houses embraced minimalism. As for makeup, the nude look still makes an impact. Gone are flashy eyeshadows, blazing red lips, and overly bronzed complexions… Simplicity is king and draws its inspiration from the Parisian “no make-up” style and off-duty allure of 1990s supermodels.

A natural complexion
You don’t need to wear heavy makeup to turn heads. The nude trend is proof of that, since it is still making waves in the streets and on the runways. At Chloé, renowned Swedish makeup artist Karin Westerlund created a beautifully natural glam look, combining a lightly sun-kissed complexion with radiant skin. The same approach was seen at Ferragamo‘s and Lanvin’s Fall/Winter 2025-2026 shows.

Light glossy lips
The “’90s minimalism” or “’90s nude” beauty trend translates into a clean complexion, discreet mascara, and, above all, a shiny gloss or a simple hydrating balm to enhance the lips. At Ottolinger, brilliant British makeup artist Isamaya Ffrench understood this perfectly, opting for ultra-glossy, plumped lips paired with soft, lightweight makeup. At Stella McCartney, Pat McGrath went for simplicity with velvety pink lips… And that was more than enough.
Dreamlike colours
In sharp contrast to the nude and indie sleaze looks, doll-like makeup and modern-witch beauty with a pearly finish were all the rage backstage at the Fall/Winter 2025-2026 shows. At the polar opposite of the femme fatale, the girly or mystical side of femininity is in full bloom this season.

Pink doll cheeks
In addition to face-taping and bright red lips spotted at the Valentino Fall/Winter 2025-2026 show, one detail particularly caught our eye. Cheeks get an intense flush of Persian pink, making models look as though they’d just stepped out of a toy store. At Marc Jacobs, a similar but more subtle effect stood out, where cheeks were delicately dusted in pastel pink.

Iridescent touches
Known for its blend of gothic and romantic aesthetics, Dilara Findikoglu teamed up with makeup artist Yadim Carranza to create an exquisitely fine glam. Ink-drawn faux tattoos blended harmoniously with skin glistening with bluish, iridescent highlights for a both poetic and delicate finish. As for Danish designer Cecilie Bahnsen, she opted for a understated makeup look and enhanced the eyes with delicate touches of silver glitter.
