Paris’s Centre Georges Pompidou is paying homage to César for the first time
If he’s remembered for one thing in his native land it’s for the French cinema awards – les César – whose statuette he designed and which are named after him. Indeed the fame they brought him arguably ruined his critical reception on Gallic soil. But now, for the first time, Paris’s Centre Georges Pompidou is finally paying homage to the inventor of the remarkable Expansions and Compressions.
