Portfolio: the Dan Flavin exhibition at the Espace Louis Vuitton in Tokyo

The Espace Louis Vuitton in Tokyo pays tribute to the big man of the minimalist movement, Dan Flavin, as it exhibits some of his biggest fluorescent installations.

After the Stedelijk Museum à Amsterdam, it’s the turn of the Espace Louis Vuitton in Tokyo to pay tribute to the celebrated American minimalist Dan Flavin. The chance to discover and rediscover his luminescent installations that question colour and light as well as the sculptural space in which they are being shown. The limited colour palette (red, blue, green, pink, yellow, ultra-violet, white) combined with the equally restrained shapes allows for a striking game of shadow and light that never ceases to amaze.
