Taylor Swift’s new album featured in the October 2025 playlist
On October 3rd, 2025, Taylor Swift released her highly-anticipated new album, The Life of a Showgirl. Marking a return to pop after a foray into folk music, this album sees the singer teaming up with Sabrina Carpenter and embracing a glittery aesthetic reminiscent of cabaret performers. While it may not be the hit record we expected, it remains one of the year’s biggest music events.
What else is came out that day? Albums and exclusive tracks from singers Miki, Kali Uchis, Empress Of, Coi Leray, and Caroline Polachek. Bands like The Last Dinner Party, Sparks, and Oasis (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? (30th Anniversary Deluxe Edition) also dropped new releases.
New releases from Patti Smith and Tame Impala
One week later, on October 10th, 2025, rock legend Patti Smith, Vanessa Paradis and the iconic duo John Lennon and Yoko Ono, as well as the rap band Mobb Deep made the headlines. Also worth noting, the releases of Melt, the new solo album by María Zardoya, the charismatic lead singer of The Marías, and of a new remix record by PinkPantheress.
Tame Impala’s new album
On October 17th, Tame Impala, The Last Dinner Party, Kim Petras, Carly Rae Jepsen, Animal Collective, Bar Italia, Bruce Springsteen, Soulwax, Sudan Archives, Benjamin Biolay, Ty Dolla $ign, and Militarie Gun were added to our playlist. As well as the brand new record of the French new wave band Martin Dupont.
On October 23rd and 24th, 2025, expect new releases from Tyla, Selena Gomez, Björk (a live album), Megan Thee Stallion, Miley Cyrus, Lily Allen, Empress Of, Cigarettes After Sex, Daniel Caesar, Imogen Heap, Role Model, Maureen, Miguel, Tortoise, Slayyyter, The Lemonheads, and Roddy Ricch.
Rosalía is making her big comeback
On October 27th, singer Rosalía released a brand new track, the dense and orchestrated Berghain, featuring Björk and Yves Tumor. The song comes with a stunning, highly cinematic music video.
Finally, on October 30th and 31st, Florence + The Machine will release her new album, Everybody Scream, alongside new releases from Bob Dylan, Oklou (Choke Enough (Deluxe)), Tyler, The Creator, Reneé Rapp, Luvcat, Gracie Abrams, Offset, Magdalena Bay, Sevdaliza, Cobrah, and Chat Pile.
