Playlist: September 2025 with Doja Cat, FKA twigs and Tame Impala

Following a busy month of August, where albums and singles released by Sabrina Carpenter and Chappell Roan succeeded one another, the fall season brings brand new releases too. The band Metronomy will celebrate its twentieth anniversary in the first week of the month of September 2025, releasing for the occasion two songs, Greatest Hits and BBC Sessions.
Lady Gaga and Tame Impala, unmissable in 2025 September’s playlist
In early September, we can already find out Wednesday’s soundtrack, as well as Lady Gaga’s feature called The Dead Dance, imagined for the macabre show.
September 3rd and 5th bring releases from Curtis Harding, Sébastien Tellier, Benjamin Biolay, Justin Bieber, Big Thief, David Byrne, Hot Chip, Joni Mitchell, Saint Etienne, Shame, Venna, Jorja Smith, Raye, Amadou and Mariam, The Last Dinner Party, Charlotte Cardin and Suede who take the center stage this month. Another good surprise ? A brand-new single from the band Tame Impala.
Upcoming albums from Cardi B and Doja Cat
A week later, starting September 12th, David Bowie (I Can’t Give Everything Away), Parcels (Loved), Devendra Banhart, Jade (That’s Showbiz Baby!), King Princess (Girl Violence) and Ty Dolla $ign are expected to feature on our playlists.
On September 19th, both the rapper Cardi B will release her album, Am I the Drama ?, and the band Nine Inch Nails (Tron : Ares soundtrack).
FKA twigs, Tame Impala, Tate McRae, Sam Quealy, Zara Larsson, Marguerite, Florence + The Machine, Theodora, Pomme, Bright Eyes, Cate Le Bon, Robert Plant and Patrick Watson made the headlines a week later, on September 26th. Singers Mariah Carey (Here for It All), Olivia Dean (The Art of Loving) and Doja Cat (Vie) also released new records.
