What does a L’Oréal Paris and Balmain collaboration look like?
Astonishing shades, a stunning cast, fabulous images and a powerful message, L’Oréal Paris and Balmain release the first images of their collaboration before the official launch on September 1st 2017.
After driving the fashion masses crazy with his collection for H&M last year, Olivier Rousteing, artistic director at Balmain, is sharing his vision of womankind once again with a collection of 12 sophisticated lipsticks in gorgeous colours conceived with L’Oréal Paris and delivered in a packaging swathed in gold and other vibrant colours echoing the opulent world of Balmain.
Divided into three tribes with the evocative names of “Glamazone”, “Couture” and “Rock”, its magnificent cast of models is made up of members of the Balmain Army and L’Oréal muses, all celebrating multicultural beauty and female diversity.
The Glamazone tribe sends out an image of glamorous warrior women developed by Olivier Rousteing, associating Ysaunny Brito with khaki green, Maria Borges with a brick orange, Alexina Graham with a pink beige and Luma Grothe with a marron glacé. The Couture tribe proposes a powder pink worn by Doutzen Kroes, a dusty pink by Ming Xi, a flamboyant red by Lara Stone and reddy purple Cindy Bruna, highlighting the precious aspect and crafted aesthetic of Balmain creations. Finally the Rock tribe, composed of Soo Joo Park and her deep purple, Grace Bol wears a royal blue, Valentina Sampaio a chocolate brown and Neelam Gill a pearly grey, paying tribute to the rebellious energy and anti-conformist spirit of the house.
