Celine décline ses sacs Triomphe et 16 en version haute maroquinerie

En septembre 2019, quelques mois après son arrivée à la direction artistique de la maison Celine, Hedi Slimane lançait une première collection de haute parfumerie qui célèbre la tradition française du ”couturier parfumeur”. Dans le prolongement de cette vision qui place l’artisanat au centre de sa démarche artistique, Hedi Slimane dévoile une collection de haute maroquinerie dédiée à deux de ses modèles emblématiques. Façonnés dans un cuir rare de crocodile du Nil, reconnaissable à ses larges écailles ovales, et ornés de bijouterie en or 18 carats, ces sacs exceptionnels, réalisées uniquement à la commande, nécessitent une main artisanale particulière selon une gestuelle séculaire propre à chaque tanneur.

Évoquant les modèles des années 60 avec ses lignes classiques et son rabat court, le 16, premier sac imaginé par Hedi Slimane pour Celine en référence à l’adresse historique de la maison au 16, rue Vivienne, est façonné en cuir de crocodile niloticus, agrémenté de poignées piquées à la main avec un point sellier, d’une doublure en chèvre brillante tandis que l’on retrouve la signature Celine Haute Maroquinerie. Ce sac qui nécessite dix-sept heures de montage abrite aussi un miroir gainé de crocodile. Autre modèle incontournable de la maison, et décliné en haute maroquinerie par Hedi Slimane selon les mêmes caractéristiques que le 16, le Triomphe, élégant sac porté épaule aux bords arrondis qui reprend l’iconique logo double C de Celine (inspiré par la chaîne qui borde l’emplacement de l’Arc de triomphe), nécessite douze heures de montage. Les peaux de la collection haute maroquinerie proviennent d’un fournisseur certifié ICFA (International Crocodilian Farmers Association) et sont traitées dans une tannerie associée à l’ICFA, certifiée ISO 14001 pour la traçabilité de ses cuirs.

Pour chaque création, les éléments de bijouterie, comme le fermoir et le cadenas du 16, sont proposés en or jaune ou or blanc 18 carats et personnalisables avec des diamants, en pavé ou solitaire, ou des initiales embossées sur la doublure en chèvre. Les sacs Celine Haute Maroquinerie est livré dans une élégante boîte en bois d’eucalyptus laqué.
